Gordon, I was looking at your profile and found this wiki you have created. This is so amazing, because for the past decade I have been studying the Bible from exactly this point of view - the distinct differences between the Old and New Testaments, and therefore Covenants. I have been learning about the different authors just like you talk about. And learning the context of the various books. I have learned so much from my studies. It's almost like we were meant to find each other through BA to learn from each other about the Bible. ;o)
If at anytime you'd like to discuss anything, please feel free to pick my brain. I look forward to seeing you complete this wiki and seeing your points of view.
I absolutely believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God. And I absolutely believe the Bible is meant to be literal. Looking at the Bible from these points of view, as well as the context from each author, has brought me so much understanding. I don't think I have ever told you this, but I am disabled, and have been for just over 10 years. We can discuss that situation further if you're interested. My point is that since I have become disabled, I feel the Holy Spirit has been guiding me to learn and understand the Bible as I never have before in my life. I have learned that everything happens for a reason according to God's Will. Had I not become disabled I don't think I would've had the interest and taken the time I have to study and understand the Bible. I'm sure you have your reasons for building this wiki. I wish you luck and I'll keep you in my prayers that God will guide others to your wiki to help them understand His Word.
